.bdf Pixel Editor
Exporting Fonts
This interactive editor will let you create fonts where each glyph (character or symbol) is built pixel by pixel.
In order to use it, click on a glyph and then draw it in the editor on the left. Repeat this for every desired
glyph and then press "Export Font" and the .bdf file contents will appear in the text box on the far right.
Use the "Copy Font" to copy the contents to your clipboard. Copy this into a text editor and save the file with a
.bdf extension.
Editing Glyph List
Please note that any glyph that is not drawn, but remains in the list of glyphs will be preserved
in the .bdf file contents. If you do not want the glyph in your file, use the "-" button to remove it once it is
selected. If you'd like to add back the glyph, or add a new one, type the glyph in the text box below the glyph
list and use the "+" button. If you'd like to remove all glyphs at once, use the "Clear All" button.
Importing Fonts
If you'd like to import an existing font, paste the contents of your .bdf file and click the "Import Font" button.
Please note that this font editor is limited to 16pt fonts with a 16x16 bounding box. Attempting to import a font
that does not fit into these specs will result in the font not loading correctly. In addition, any incorrectly
written font will not load correctly and will result in a message from the system.
